DK Cargo roots are in Sea Freight! Whether it’s full containers, consolidations, roll-on/roll-
off equipment or entire projects, moving shipments by sea is our “flagship” service.
Onlytrusted major global brands
There are two primary modes of sea freight transportation: Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL). FCL is used when the shipment is large enough to fill an entire container. On the other hand, LCL is used when the shipment does not require a full container. In this case, the goods are combined with other shipments to fill a container. We can provide both types.
Another important aspect is choosing the right container type. We can offer not only one of the standard DRY or General Purpose (GP) containers but also all other special types like Open Top (OT), Flatrack (FL), High Cube (HC or HQ), Refrigerated (RF), Tanktainer (TK) and more. We will choose the right conatiner type and size to minimize costs and deliver your cargo safely to its destination.
Sea Freight is not only about choosing the right conatiner. There is a lot more to it like Cargo Insurance, Weighting, Customs Clearance, Inland Transport, Loading/Unlaoding, Port Handling, Storage and the list goes on and on... Fortunatley we can take care of all of that so you can focus on other important aspects of your business.
Sea freight forwarding offers several benefits to businesses that use it to transport their goods. Some of the benefits include:
Cost-Effectiveness: Sea freight forwarding is one of the most cost-effective modes of transportation, especially for businesses that require the transportation of large quantities of goods. This is because cargo ships can transport large volumes of goods at a lower cost compared to other modes of transportation.
Sea freight forwarding is a reliable mode of transportation since it is not affected by traffic or weather conditions. Additionally, cargo ships are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, which reduces the risk of damage or loss of goods.
